Ara
Fine Art Prints and Reproductions
Ara Fine Art is
the self publishing arm of araleites.com. Since the artist creates her
paintings in acrylics on a paper surface, gicleé prints are
often completed on an archival canvas surface. These are then stretched
on stretcher bars which can be framed without having to use
glass or Plexiglas to protect the surface. It will look similar to an
oil painting and there are no reflections resulting from the glazing.
Should the client prefer to have the reproduction printed on archival
paper, then the piece must be matted and framed with a glass or
Plexiglas sheet to protect the paper surface from potential
damage....canvas does not have this problem, unless someone
intentionally damages the work.
Giclée Prints and Reproductions are available in a variety of
sizes, printed on archival surfaces with archival inks on an Epson
10000 wide format printer, and can be ordered through the artist.
Giclée prints are always limited editions; the larger the print,
the smaller the
edition. All prints are available in the standard watercolor sheet
sizes(11" X 15", 15" X 22", and 22" X 30") as well as standard frame
sizes. Currently available are prints in all the series listed on the
artist's web site and include about 135 different images. Email the
artist or phone for a thumbnail sized inventory of the series of your
interest(mailing fee required).
Enhanced Giclée prints are one of a kind and considered by the
artist as an original piece. These paintings have gold or silver leaf,
pearl essence paint, or other paint not available as a printing ink and
for this reason no two prints will look alike, they may carry different
emotional content, or be comprised of different colors than the
original design. Another aspect of enhancement may be an original
painting that may have started out as a print but has been enhanced to
the degree that it is composed of more painting techniques than
printing techniques. Included as an enhanced image are compositions
contrived from several of the artist's paintings. These are then
developed as paintings and considered 'original paintings', not prints.
This is one of the experimental techniques the artist is using to
expand her personal
visions.
